What does it mean to be truly independent?
I established my private practice in December 2020, and I have remained entirely independent ever since. I am not employed by a corporate group, not part of a shared chambers, and not affiliated with any private medical insurer or health network. I answer to my patients, and to no one else.
This distinction matters more than it might initially seem. In a corporate or chambers-based setting, a doctor may be under pressure to see high volumes of patients, to follow standardised protocols, or to refer within a network rather than to the consultant who is right for you. I face none of those constraints.
My clinical decisions are made on the basis of what is right for you. My referrals go to the consultants I trust and know personally, not to those who are part of a preferred-provider arrangement. My appointments are as long as they need to be. And you will always see me โ not a colleague, not a locum, and not a physician associate.
What this means in practice
Always the same doctor
Every appointment, every time โ you see me. There are no locums, no junior doctors, and no physician associates at this practice. I know your history and your circumstances, because I have always been the one managing them.
No corporate agenda
I am not employed by, affiliated with, or beholden to any insurance company, healthcare group, or corporate network. My recommendations are guided entirely by clinical judgement โ not by target lists, quotas, or preferred-provider agreements.
Genuinely unhurried appointments
I offer 30, 60 and 90-minute appointments. There is no pressure to finish quickly. If a complex conversation takes longer than expected, we take the time it needs. Medicine practised properly cannot be rushed.
Referrals based on trust
When I refer you to a consultant, it is because I know them, respect their work, and believe they are the right person for your situation. My network of Harley Street and London consultants has been built through clinical relationships, not commercial ones.
The traditional GP model
Private general practice, at its best, returns to the model that has always served patients well: a single, trusted doctor who knows you, listens to you, and takes responsibility for your care over time. That is what I aim to provide.
Complete confidentiality
Your consultations and medical records are entirely private. They are not shared with employers, insurers, or third parties unless you specifically request it. Independence means your care stays yours.
"I started my private practice because I wanted to provide the kind of care I believe every patient deserves โ unhurried, personalised, and consistent. My commitment is simple: you will always see me."

Why independence matters to you as a patient
The relationship between a patient and their GP is built over time. It depends on continuity โ on seeing the same person, who knows your history, understands your circumstances, and can notice when something has changed. That continuity is, in many ways, the most clinically valuable thing a GP can offer.
In a large corporate practice, continuity can be difficult to maintain. Rotas change, doctors move on, and the next appointment may well be with someone who has read a summary of your notes rather than knowing them. In a chambers arrangement, you may be directed to whichever doctor is available, regardless of whether they know you.
At this practice, continuity is guaranteed. I see every patient myself โ always. Whether your appointment is your first or your fifteenth, you will be seen by the same doctor, who has taken the time to understand you as a person and not just as a set of presenting complaints.
I believe that this model โ genuinely independent, genuinely personal, genuinely consistent โ is what private general practice ought to be. It is what I set out to build in 2020, and what I remain committed to providing.
