Private health screening — Harley Street
A thorough MOT for your health, with a GP who takes the time to explain every result
Book an AppointmentA private health screen with Dr Natasha is more than a set of blood tests. It is a comprehensive clinical review, carried out by the same GP you will always see, who will take the time to explain what your results mean and what, if anything, you should do about them. There are no anonymous online portals, no results without context, and no rushed ten-minute slots. Just a thorough, unhurried review of your health with a doctor who has the time to do it properly.
Who is health screening for?
Health screening is particularly useful for anyone who wants a baseline picture of their current health, has not had a thorough check-up recently, or simply wants the reassurance of knowing that the key indicators of their health are in order. It is also particularly valuable for anyone who has a family history of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, or certain cancers, or who wants a clinical review before making significant lifestyle changes. Many patients book an annual health screen as a routine part of looking after themselves — in the same way one might service a car or see a dentist each year.
What does the health MOT include?
The health MOT begins with a 60-minute GP consultation. Dr Natasha takes a full clinical history covering your current health, medical background, family history, lifestyle, and any concerns you have. She then carries out a clinical examination including blood pressure measurement, BMI assessment, and a cardiovascular risk calculation.
Blood tests are arranged at the same appointment via the clinic's in-house nursing team. A standard health MOT panel typically includes: full blood count; liver function; kidney function; thyroid function (TSH and free T4); fasting lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides); blood glucose and HbA1c (diabetes risk); iron studies; vitamin B12 and folate; vitamin D; and PSA (prostate-specific antigen, for male patients). Additional panels — including cancer markers, full hormone profiles, or STI screens — can be added on request at the time of booking or during the consultation.
Blood test results
Results are usually available within 24 to 48 hours of the blood draw. Dr Natasha reviews the full results panel personally and contacts you directly with a clear, plain-English explanation of each finding. A follow-up appointment is included in the fee if any results require further discussion, further investigation, or a change to your management plan. You will never receive a result without a proper explanation of what it means for your health.
ECG
A resting ECG (electrocardiogram) can be arranged at the same visit to assess heart rhythm and screen for cardiac abnormalities including atrial fibrillation, conduction defects, and signs of previous cardiac events. The ECG is interpreted by Dr Natasha and, where needed, by a cardiologist. This can be added to any health screening appointment and is particularly recommended for patients with cardiovascular risk factors, a family history of heart disease, or anyone who experiences palpitations, chest tightness, or breathlessness on exertion.
What happens if something is found?
If a result or examination finding suggests that further investigation or specialist review is needed, Dr Natasha will discuss this with you clearly and arrange the appropriate next steps promptly. She works with a wide network of Harley Street consultants and can arrange referrals to cardiologists, gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, oncologists, and other specialists, typically with appointments available within a matter of days. You will always be kept informed, and Dr Natasha will follow up on any referral to ensure nothing falls between the gaps.
